Accident lawyers

Any one know of a good attorney in the Austin, Texas area?
The DUI that hit me has a no name insurance company and they are playing hard ball.
And yes my employer told me I was relieved of duty until I'm better.

My uncle is one of the top-rated attorneys in Texas. They are based in San Antonio. Try his firm:

I have no idea if they will be able to help you but it's worth a call. 210.824.3278

The only attorneys in Austin I am familiar with at every successful real estate condemnation attorneys. However, they are well connected. If you would like, I can reach out to them for a reference.
One of them is running in Austin's mayoral campaign.

Let me know.

Chris that is awesome. I'm going to ask my family if they know your uncle. I'm sure that my aunt does

I've chatted with several firms.
One was a biker personal injury firm called Law Tigers.
I've also talked with Shefman Law Firm who also deals in personal injury with a specially for bicycles and motorcycles.
I'll give San Antonio a try also.
I want to decide by Friday or Monday.

Is this for a motorcycle accident? My uncle (Barry Snell) is a long-time rider (motorcycles and bicycles). He may not be taking new cases these days but if he's not, my cousin Clay is, along with associates at the firm.

Incidentally, my uncle was the original owner of my old yellow D90, #63.

In my experience with accident attorney's the guys who have billboards and specialize in ambulance chasing take a much larger percentage of the awards. There are typically attorneys who aren't as specialized who will have plenty of experience and be more reasonable in their stake. Recommendations are key but also shop around, lawyers are a service like anything else. Just my .02.

That's not necessarily true. The personal injury firms that advertise on TV generally take the same percentage on a contingency fee case as other firms (typically 1/3 but I've seen them go as high as 40%). However, they pay for that overhead by doing massive volume. Which means that your case might not get as much attention from the people running the show.

Law Tigers is a firm run by a lawyer in Ft. Collins CO. I believe they associate with counsel in other jurisdictions, which explains the brand appearing in TX.

I will say that the drunk driver's insurance carrier is doing their insured (the drunk driver) a disservice by not settling with you promptly for an inflated amount, if necessary. This can definitely work to your advantage if the cards you have been dealt are played correctly.

Good luck!

Edit: If you have any social media accounts, anything you post there about your injuries, etc. may well become known to the other side. Use discretion or shut down the account.

It wasn't a motorcycle accident thank God. But since I had their card from the ROT Rally and they offer benefits to riders, I gave them a shout.

I don't do Facebook or any other social media. I don't like the concept of volunteering information and regretting it later.

ROT Rally is a good time.

Don't post anything with you head banging or doing the limbo...and I won't post the picture of me and the Law Tigers mascot... lol

Good luck Luis. I'm sure everything will work out fine.
