A novel replacment battery

Well not entirely novel in its technology, but I'm liking the idea.

Nice...would be interesting to try. Too bad the project is cancelled.

It is? Looks like they reached their funding goal, and have an active website?

Interesting concept, but it seems it would only be good as a started battery for rather light duty applications though. Good application for a race car maybe, but at only 10 hr, how long could you leave the radio on without the car running before the battery shuts itself off? A typical Group 35 battery is about what, 60ah? Certainly not going to be good alternative for an accessory laden vehicle, but I'm curious if it is even suitable for an everyday car as a result?

I wonder what running a winch (even with the engine running) would do to it? Instant turn off? Just throwing out some additional thoughts..
