A little help needed.....

Hi Guys,

I bought a land rover shirt on ebay but the seller does not use paypal. I'm in the UK so would need to send cash. I was wondering if anyone with paypal would send a cheque to the seller so i dont have to go get some USD. Its only for $20, if someone will do it i will send $20 extra for doing it.

Best regards

James

Hey Ade, I'm the widower of the recently deceased Prime Minister of Uganda and I have $362,000,000 USD in an account here which I'll gladly give you half of, if you just provide me with your social security number, mother's maiden name, and savings account info so I can make the transfer to your account for tax purposes.....

just kidding.

Now let me get this straight. You don't want to go change your Pounds for USD for a one time simple order. But if I pay for your shirt you'll send me 40 USD's or will you send me the equivelent of 40 USD in Pounds and then give me the pleasure of exchanging the money.

Do you have those folks that stand at the side of the road with a sign that says "Will work for food"? We have lots of them here. Every one of them that I have offered a job turned it down.

Forgive me, if I sound skeptical.

Randy,
Don't be skeptical. I have done business with him in the past. I sold him my stock stereo.

I know 'reading' and 'understanding' is difficult for some, let me reiterate what the guy stated in plain English.

Since the Ebay seller doesn't accept Paypal, he (the buyer) would like to Paypal someone the price of the shirt. In return, that person would write a check for the item and have the t-shirt sent to him. Skepticism over $20 <eye roll> SERIOUSLY...as he is going to go through all this trouble to scam someone out of $20. Sheesh...

I have helped him out before with a radio question. 50th defenders were put together with the left over NAS parts, they are virtually identical except right hand drive.

especially with having a eBay account. The seller should know better. I hope he's not worried about the 3 percent on a 20 dollar shirt.

Cheers guys, i'm not a scammer!

Its just easyer to give someone $20 for doing it. I live out in the country and work so getting to the bank to get some dollars is a pain in the ass.

I will PM Ade and see if he is still willing to do it, if not i will email you martin.

Best regards

James

Sorry James, I should have been listening instead of talking. Believe it or not I'm not very familiar with PayPal.

Actually as a seller, Paypal can be a nightmare sometimes. They run their outfit as if they are the gustopo. If it wasn't for the fact that it's tough to do business not having an Paypal account, I'd give them the bird!

Check out: www.paypalsucks.com www.aboutpaypal.org www.paypalwarning.com they are just a few sites out there dedicated to making people aware of how crappy paypal can be.

Follow-up Post:

James,

The check has been sent!
