A decently priced '97 Monza?

I check out this website every so often to see odd-ball stuff. This actually seems like a decent price for a '97 30k Monza Red... except, to me, it doesn't look as Monza as it does Portofino. Maybe it's my computer settings?

1997 Land Rover DEFENDER 90 NAS! SOFT TOP. AUTO. AC! RARE! | Denver Colorado 80205

Correction: the ad says "Portofino." They didn't offer that color on the softtop in '97. So... a rebuilt title, maybe? Thus, explaining the "reasonable" price??

They're not exactly known for their accurate ads. They just bought one recently where the PO had over 150k miles on it, and then they advertised it as "30k on the odometer" - I could give you about 30 more examples from them if I'd bothered to track them all.

^x2 - what josh said.

These folks always seem to have some interesting vehicles, and plenty of NAS Defenders, but I'm not certain they are totally above board. Many of the NAS trucks they list are rebuilt titles...and they typically state that right in the eBay ad.

I had a buddy a couple years ago that flew out to their place to inspect a vehicle he was planning on buying, and the truck was not in the physical and operational condition that he was led to believe from the conversations and the pictures.

Am I the only one thinking that "AC needs a charge"
Is somewhat unacceptable for a $60k dealership truck...

I got in a tiff with one of the staff a year or so back after I pointed out the several bad reviews this place got under a different DBA; agreed they have interesting vehicles but really cannot speak to their trustworthiness as a dealership.

That said people do turn businesses around, FWIW I wouldn't touch anything they were offering
