for that much money you could swap a real NAS 110 to TDI. That route would afford you much better resale too.

That white 110 was on ebay... Damn it is ugly. They certainly went to town with the diamond plate.

But he missed so many desireable features in the description:
- Twice normal size roll cage tubing means twice the protection
- Blaupunkt armrest
- Custom VonDutch anti-skid pinstriping disguises black replacement hinges
- Prestigious badges and stickers from international organizations
- Redundant hood latches, to help keep the hood with the spare on it closed
- Cleverly imported and titled to save you any legal hassles

What trash. These are 15k piles of parts.

Those guys are smoking crack. $46000 for a 1996 S600, are you fucking kidding me?

I'll call them up tomorrow and offer them kindly offer then $15000 which is what theyre worth in england.

If they deny my offer I'll call back and say I am with DOT and I need to take the vehicle

Be fair - it does say the price / BO which I assume is Best Offer (not this is a stinky deal!) . Christ, legit 110 are still selling for north of $40k.

But on the serious side, if the D110 was legal in the US in 1993, can you import a German or any country 1993 without prblems? I know the DOT 25 year rule, so?

Or is the glitch that if the 110 is European "spec.ed", it misses US DOT regulations and would not be street legal anyway?
