$999 3-D Printer

Looks like Dremel has one coming out for the holidays.

20 years from now we will be laughing at what is does and how expensive it was while our 2035 year model printer prints out new stainless steel hinges for our 45 year old Defender.

Yeah I looked at that about a month ago...lot's of limitations but no worries if you're just using it to donk around. I would'nt buy it to make NLA parts...

Oh and we can have that laugh now...now you can print in most common material, even carbon fiber.

I've heard no good things about dremel's printer... you end up with one? Any first hand reviews?

Makerbot is what we found to be the best inexpensive one.

looks like a copy of the makerbot replicator, probably sailfish firmware etc. there are better units out there for that price.
