95 Ecu.

On the 95 the ECU is in the passenger side seat box... Has anyone gotten thier truck in water deep enough to know if the seat box will keep water out? If it is anything like the rest of the truck I am sure water would come right in. I have seenphotos of 97's and 95's in some deep stuff. There doesnt really seem like a good way to move the ECU to higher ground. I am weary of deep mud holes as a replacement ECU would be a hard thing to do.

Scorpian Racing carries an extension cable, however, I'm not sure it works with the 14cux. It wouldn't hurt to email them...

There are holes in the seat box, it wont keep water out. On the plus side, if you fry your ECU, at least you've also killed the factory amp.

Take the ECU, and find a Tupperware container (not the cheezy disposable ones, the good expensive kind) that it will fit in, cut a hole in the side of the container to get the wires through, then attach to the ECU, and silicone the remaining hole up. I have done this in my other trucks with ECU's and power distribution blocks.

Used ECUs are about $100-150. Same as a 94-95 disco.
