Sean, THe POE trucks are very easy to turn into a ST. THey already have the right windscreen hoop and lower cage, You just need to pick up the B-pillar hoop and youa re good to go. THe nice thing with the POE is that in the winter you can put the SW top back on. As I built my truck, I also got a SW top with rear lift gate to do the same.

Legend in My Own Mind.

I was under the impression that the POE roll hoop around the windscreen tied directly in to the hardtop itself and there is not an interior hoop tied to it. That said how could you remove the aluminum hardtop and keep the bars intact on the front of the vehicle? Because if they were tied to the hardtop then they would be long enough or at the right angle(they are slightly tilted upward) to tie into a hoop one could buy. I may be terribly mistaken but this is what I thought was the case.

1st off good luck on the hunt. When I got my D90 I was negotiating on a 1963 S type Jag. We were way off on the pricing and in the 3 days of "discussion" I found the D-90 and bought it. I paid $25k for it with 63k on the clock. To much?! No idea and do not care - I WANTED IT.
There is a lot of good advice in this thread already, my only adds are:
- the 1994 to 1997 missing service records (if it has everything else, where are these? A flag)
- 83,000 on a 1994 - not bad, but the tires are gone?? 1st or second set?
- photos show no corners on seating mounts or inside - these shave scuffs where shoes hit.
An idea on use.
- rust - as mentioned by Mike above, photos have nothing on that.
- a rare D90? what the F**K. They are all rare here in the US so NOT a selling incentive for me,
infact, the POE is a SW and not a ST. Got to the vendor links and see a soft top + full kit will cost
$$$ and then work on it.
- Ebay ALWAYS seems to have a D-90 a week on sale so get the one you want.

Follow-up Post:

An add on - I have just gone through the D-90s for sale on this site.
Sean - bag ebay and shop here.
Again, my 2 cents

I picked up my POE for 20k in '03 with 103k on the od. that's not a bad price but not great eather. Mine also had the rear bench seat and A/C.

It doesn't have the '94 front bumper... and the front exo cage dosent look right to me
Insert pithy quote here.

I have a '94 POE truck. I have also purchased a soft top cage and the correct hardtop roll bar. The POE interiors are pretty spartan compared to the SWs. No carpet, no interior trim, no roll down windows, and the headliner only covers the cab portion. As mentioned, the front roll whoop bolts to the aluminum top and is virtually worthless as a protective device.

They have a few features and trim that were unique to 94. They were not made in large numbers, but are not rare for collector's purposes. If you have any other questions, drop me a note.
