Still a sad day.

I cannot forget. Years ago it was people my wife and I knew. Now my kids have friends that have parents or uncles/aunts that were taken that day. My youngest had a buddy over recently and his uncle was lost in one of towers. He never knew his uncle but I know his uncle would have gone to his soccer games and been a part of his life.

As many of you know I work down at WTC and have had a front seat to the growth and rebuilding that is non-stop here. Having grown up in Northern NJ I had the privilege of knowing many amazing people who were lost that day, made it out alive, or did not make it into work that day. One of my best friend's older brother, who was only 23 at the time, went to work early that morning at Cantor Fitzgerald and was never seen again.

I hold this day dear to remember those in my life and those I never met who were lost, and those who still carry the scars from 12 years ago. This day is for them, and I refuse to allow this day to be filled with thoughts of the terrorists, as this day is no longer about them.

I will spend my day thinking about them for you so you don't have to, and how they, and their affiliates, can kiss my ass (translation: قبلة بلدي الحمار الجهادية).

Here are some tag words to help them find our message in google

I have been active in the combatting terrorism world since 1981. I spent every minute since 9/11 working the mission either in the field, studying it, teaching it and working to kick al-Qaeda's ass both awake and in my sleep.

On 9/11 I was half a mile outside the Pentagon when the American Airlines airplane flew into the area of the helo pad. I thought, that's a strange approach to Reagan airport. Drove right over and worked recovery at the site all day with the best people in the world. 9/11 the basis for everything I do. But since OBL got lead poisoning I am sleeping MUCH better.

All I know is that in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Libya, and other parts of Africa there was ALWAYS a Land Rover Defender nearby for me. If I can just get me a one of those Ranger Regiment RSOVs or those Special Boat Service 130 Special Vehicle Gun trucks back home it would all be worth it. They are as rare as a unicorn's splooge!

My religion is that when I die I won't get 77 Virgins and rivers of honey, I'd get my LR 150 6x6 home though customs and have NO leaks! Ya Allah, Paradise!

It's why I get up every day for work. Reflecting on those that I and everyone else lost that day.

Last year I was invited by the IDF to attend the 9/11/01 memorial services in Jerusalem Israel. Besides a beautiful memorial, Israel is the only memorial outside the US that has the names of everyone lost on 9/11/01 from all countries.

I took this pic in 1998, corner of 10th and 6th, facing downtown. Thought very little of the towers in the background when i took it. Had no idea it'd have so much more meaning 15 years later. Now hangs in my bedroom.... Classic NYC.

Great pic. Here's one I took recently. I think it's Christopher and West Side Highway.

I was in Kosovo training the KPS. All of my students were Muslim Albanians. When the planes hit, it was early afternoon. They all lined up to give blood hoping it could be used to help the victims. They were good people and good cops.

I brings me great pleasure to think that crabs are dining on the testicles of Osama Bin Laden right now. Never forget.

US Navy has a canvas bag for Mr. al-Baghdadi too. That day is coming..
