89 defender pickup

Hello all,
I am considering bringing an 89 110 pickup, 3.9 v8 back to the states with me. My question is this:
What is this worth in the states? I don't want to spend a bunch of money that I can't recoup at some point.
And secondly, are there many of these in the states already?

Thanks for your input!

Get the vin and decode it. Make sure it matches the features. That's step 1 or you won't get it through customs.

Thank you NPT90 for volunteering that info. I'm pretty squared away as far as importing and exporting vehicles goes, no questions or worries there. I am more interested in the value and marketability of it once I have it in the states.

Plenty there for CBP to reject the importation of the vehicle.
Non original wheels, doors, hinges, door handles and engine.....

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.

Spot on, aka hard saying not knowing.

There is eBay for that... Pickups aren't particularly desirable it seems, but that's just me pulling an opinion out if my a$$.

Yeah, that's why I 'volunteered' that info, don't think you can import this truck easily. Value is very subjective

It will sell much easier and for considerably more with a full length s/t... Then match it to an auto box, and it will sell more easily and quicker yet.

I Love defenders... For instance I would like to share some pics of my III Series 74

------ Follow up post added September 13th, 2014 06:55 PM ------

The reconstruction of this III serie was $10K and is very difficult to recover the investment.. this is a Diesel engine and fix it was very expensive...
