That ECR HiCap was here in Boulder for the last few years (or one that they built that was exactly like it). He moved back east last year and had it for sale for $35K. Shoulda.......ugh!

I priced shipping one in legally. You might as well do that for the $80K...I mean geez.

Where the hell does he find these things? Every one looks brand new - even the 94s!!
It's a great list of Defenders.
The prices are top $$$ and my 94 with a bit of spit & polish is 2x what I thought it worth but come on really.
And how the f*@k do you have a 1994 or 1996 with UNDER 30k miles?

I have 19k on my 97? It's possible. Just requires alot of patience to find one. . .

Then run like hell from it because every god damn seal is going to leak and need to be replaced.

Ask me how I found that out!

Ahh well.

Is that seal or seal the marine animal? My 1994 D90 just spent 4 days in the California rain. We live on a hill and were recording 2 to 5 inches of rain daily. Our total from Thursday night to today - 21 inches.
Had to buy a tarp to cover the front end. Those BESTOP 1/4 inch gaps around the windows were great! Even stuffed all the gaps and I could not keep the water out.

Stuart Carpenter of Copley Motor Cars is mentioned in the February 2005 LRE, page 174.

Copley's trucks are always in nice shape. I was looking at one of his older G-wagens...then backed off because of the price. His vehicles are always in showroom condition...but WAY TOO OVERPRICED! Will the market bear 80K for that 110? Doubtfull.

If you are in the market for a Defender 110...check out Bear Valley Land Rovers (www.bvlr.com) or David at Land Rovers for Sale (www.landroversforsale.com). Both of these guys usually have a decent assortment of vehicles at FAIR prices.

I second that!! I've got a 94 with 40K miles on it... picked it up for a steal of a price!!! But had a problem with the front hub seal (she leaked something fierce). Didn't catch it until it was to late! All for the better though; I've had a chance to rebuild the front and rear ends (thanks GBR), then while I was at it... I figured I may as well upgrade the suspension, replace the bushings, brake lines, wire wheeled the chassis and coated it with chassis paint (I'll check the name, as it's REALLY good stuff!!). It's been on blocks for about three months, but she comes to life this weekend!

Bear Valley is your source for Disco II, 4.0-4.6 P38, or new RR's. They rarely have 90's and when they do they sell fast. Never seen them with a 110 though.

I bought my '97 D90 from Copley back in 2003 and it has been 100% trouble free. Bought it with 24000 miles on it and it now has just over 27000 miles. Worth the price, imo.
