35" on Stock Rear Tire Carrier

I'm putting new 35" BFG's on, has anyone ever fit this size tire on the stock rear tire carrier (D90 SW)? Also, putting the hi lift jack on there, any weight problems for that carrier? Thanks.

haha. The rear door cant even stand up to the stock 32" tire. You may want to find someone local to you to build you something. The Mantec is really popular for the 33" crowd they may give thier input. Safari Gard has been adapted to the SW but not sure of its availibilty. Rockware has done some SW carriers I am sure they could set you up even if you are in Fl. good luck dood

I had the Mantec model on mine. Worked well. I don't remember if I got before I went from 35s to 33s or not. But I can tell you it didn't take long for the 35 to destroy the door.

Thanks for the replies, I'm leaning towards the SG because of the Jerry Can capabilities, but it may be too much $$$, ECR said the Mantec would do the job no problem. Thanks again.

I ran with a 37in back there for a year. Never had a problem. As long as you keep the door nuts all tight, it does alright. Still, not ideal.

Made it further than half of the other guys, but the Hammers won.
