I'm hoping Buck and Team Widia have better luck this year. I would like to see the guys from Gigglepin kick some ass, though I am disappointed they only brought their rover over one year, and have been renting a jeep buggy for the last two. Also Taylor Congleton and Jordan Blaise are racing their buggy this year. Is the guy from South Africa racing his classic this year again?

Looking at the unofficial lap times in today's qualifying it doesn't look like Jordan made it through, unfortunately. I heard the announcer mention that there were only 5 LCQ's making it through today, so the guys looking for a spot were driving hard. Anyone catch the East vs. West shootout last night on Backdoor?

I heard the Gigglepin guys say they had a few commitments with their buggy across the pond, which is why it didn't make it this year. They were saying it had to be on the boat in November to make it out to the lakebed in time.

you sure? I thought he bought it back? He has two 110's in his shop sitting on dana's, the most recent of which I thought was the 8-lug rhd blue 3-door 110

I hope I'm wrong but pretty sure. He was really frustrated keeping the blue one running, ( of which I posted a pic on forum w him in a while back) bought a white Ford p/up. He was focused on his buggies and I didn't see any LR in shop. Thought odd as the ex Rovers North guy joined him. He should be back next week and as I'm trying to hit him up to build me a rack, I'll ask.

Irony is his shop is literally next door to the old Mountain Rover shop that spread such frustration years back.

His buddy/client bought the RTE 110 last year, I think he is building it for him.
