thats brings up a point.... how fast have you ever driven in your defender. i have normal wheels, tires and lift and the truck "skips" when it get to 86, 87 ish.... is this because the paper says top speed of 87? [please no comments on the speed thing] - also calculated by the alpine nav screen not just the speed-o.

I have never remotely been a Corvette fan...but this car is HOT. I wish the tail didn't look so Camaro-esque, though. There is a lot of Ferrari in the front 3/4 angle.

The NAS D90s have a speed cut off at 89mph. If you run a discovery or RRC chip, you can exceed that speed.

Im dissapointed in this car, although I'd never buy a jap car, the GTR is still faster than this vette. If they want to impress me, I want to see sub 3 second 0-60 times. Preferrably less than 2.6 (Porsche 997.2 Turbo S)

I'm not sure I understand the body lines. If GM isn't turning the Corvette in a grand touring 2+2, then have they made the trunk larger? Or is it just an optical illusion?

ahh...never mind, the picture just makes the rear look larger than it really is.

You can't compare this "base" model with the $30-40K more expensive AWD Godzilla or $90K more expensive PT-S. Now the upcoming ZR1 in 2015....

I used to be a corvette fan, even had one back in the day. But, I really only like the old ones from the early 60's to 71 or 72. I do not like the Camaro back end either.

As a corvette owner, I think that after 1967 the corvette when downhill. Classic stingray was the best body style (63-67) IMO. True American muscle, not this Japanese looking crap.

I'd take it in a heartbeat better gas mileage than the 90 more fun to drive than my Jetta.

I like it...Quite a lot, but I won't be rushing out to buy one of the base cars...

I currently have a 2009 Z06 and a 1966 427 big block convertible...The '66 will forever be in my possession but the Z06 may someday become a C7 Z06 or ZR1...whichever one they decide to build

Maybe I am confusing the trucks, but doesn't your 90 have a 4.6 with an ECU chip from the guru guy in England that ECR Mike used to talk about, Mark Adams? I seem to remember some posts from the PO about it.
