2013 Spring Break

So, next week is Spring Break here in Texas and Temps are already showing signs of 75 to 80 degree temps. Where's everyone going?!?

We are headed for our first Padre Island expedition! Five days of glorious salt and sand for the D90...its like a facial scrub for the Waxhol thats years old and flaking off!

Oh, the memories I have of going to Padre for spring break in college. Oh wait, I don't really have any memories, just a bunch of embarrassing pictures . . .

Take lots of pics. Use a high power lens if needed

This thread is worthless without pics. Come on Tony, scan some of those Polaroid pics of you with the Vanilla Ice haircut, wearing your Oakley sunglasses, Local Motion tshirt, OP shorts, and Vans loafers.

My old 96 D1 came from Corpus Christie. Got it cheap as a non-running salvage. Had been taken out by a college kid on the beach during SB and got stuck. Tide came in and sank it up to the dash. Had to cut out and rewire half the truck. Also had to strip out miles (felt like it anyway) of flashing neon type light string that was all over it inside.

Donít sink the 90! I donít have room/time for another project right nowÖ

Just to appease you bastards I went into the photo box last night and stumbled across this gem. It was taken at Spring Break on Padre ca. 1990. There's a lot of South Texas going on here . . .

So we left a day later and came back a day sooner....the first day was total crap with 30 to 40 mph winds. The second day only slightly better and of course the day we left the weather was fantastic. It was a good experiance for sure but this costal area like most, is better visited when the accomidations of a nice hotel are at hand.....of course I'm most likley just to old...lol

The FJ is a my brothers...so dont be a hater! He can't afford a D90!! lol...oh and I forgot the good camera again so...forgive the low res BB photos.
