2010 Land Rover Model Line-up

I just thought you guys would be interested to see what is coming out in 2010 from LR. They just released this yesterday when they unveiled the vehicles in NY.

I am going to check them out next week. I think they added way to much to the RR in terms of garnish and trinkets to the body. no need for this flare. it only adds to the bling effect. Past RRs have been simple clean bodies. the in dash nav looks great. dual angles!

The LR4 (no idea why they renamed it) looks very nice. the new face looks more like the RR (not this very new one) and I really like that. shame then killed the LR3 name. But good for us buying a second hand LR3s as in some weird ass way this will drive the prices down I imagine.

Interesting...looks like facelifts for the Range line. But with regards to the D3, seems like it's getting the same type of treatement that the original Disco got when they came out with the D2--a throrough refreshing with a new designation, but not a complete redesign.

However, I'm surprised they're changing "LR3" to "LR4", as it seems it may confuse some less Land Rover saavy American customers. So when the Freelander 2 (LR2) is redsigned in a few years, will it then be called LR3? Lame. They should've just kept the proper names when they were redesigned a few years ago anyway.

EDIT: Just looked at the interior pics of the RR Sport---huge improvemnt. Much more Range-like and less Disco-like. Hmmm....

Is it me or do the new RR's have the worst resale value on the planet? My wifes 03 has gone from almost 80 grand to the high teens in five years. Thats crazy.

not just you... although some of the non-new ones seem to hold value okay (90's and 110's anyway)

Value

I've found lease return Land Rovers to be a pretty good value. I've had several. They tend to be well maintained, someone else has taken the depreciation hit, and some are still under warranty.

Luckily you can write off the loss of value on the RR since they weigh so much.

Same here in the UK... disco's and rangies have dropped like a stone.,

90 & 110's are holding their own quite well.

you can pick up MoT failure disco 1's for as little as 500 with a good running 200Tdi, and even the 300Tdi's are getting into that league as well.

What we really need is a media info site for the defender so we can get some super hi-res downloads like these, but only with the right rover in them.

Current LR diesels are only 49 state legal. They are working on bringing Diesel LR's here, but there is no launch date set. Take your fight up with CA though, if it wasn't for them we could have the diesels. LR won't bring a vehicle here that isn't 50 state legal though.

Yes! 2010 Defenders should be in showrooms late September of this year. We are taking orders/deposits now. Most of the 2010's are spoken for, but you could be put on the list in case someone backs out, or for one of the first 2011's. I also have some ocean front property available in TN; what better way to enjoy a new Defender than by cruising it up and down your new private beach!?!
