2009 Defender SVX Pics

http://www.caranddriver.com/news/aut...ew-photos.html

I like the roll cage on the truck cab, but not sure about the nose pieces.

It is amazing though, the design of the Defender, and you could argue the Series II thru Defender, hasn't changed dramatically in 60 years.

I like the look of the 110 version myself.

Note to self: If anyone asks if this model will be imported into the US, I will open my window and scream!!!

Hey,

I heard from a guy who totally knows a guy that this model will be imported into the U.S.! Lets start a thread about it.

The roll cage is cheeseball. Reminds me of the '80s and those giant chrome light bars.

Made it further than half of the other guys, but the Hammers won.

I spoke with the parts guy at Land Rover and he told me it was in the works, so I wrote him a check as a down payment.

I don't mean to tell you what to do with your money, but you might consider stopping payment if you made it payable to the dealer, and especially if it made to the parts guy!

Makes sense - start paying for those shiney new repair parts now... It is still a Land Rover.
FWIW my vote is for the p/u shown.

Thats way too much effort - I'm going to spray paint a set of defender headlight surrounds silver, stick them on a brush painted black series 2, get a blue canvas top and a cheap set of fender flares and some script lettering stencils to put SVX on the side, claim it was built by a team of certified land rover mechanics who were former airline pilots who drove the camel trophy 5 times and put it on ebay along with a picture of Angelina Jolie's breasts.

Hey now, that was a rare opportunity to own a life size replica fitting of Franklin Mint. If the guy had thrown in a few movie posters, it would have been worth just that much more

D-90 Source needs a "Hall of Shame" thread for trucks like that.

Well, who knows, if the Tata deal goes through. They do have a long and illustrious career making some most excellent vehicles. Maybe This could be the platform for the next Defender. Try importing one of THOSE into the US. You would certainly be unique.

He told me to make it out to "Cash." He said that was his name, kind of like "Cher."

I was being facetious, but thanks for looking out for me Paul.
