200,759 miles

So I got my truck back from the body shop yesterday after a drunk guy broadsided me and took out my passenger side door and front fender. The rock slider really saved the day. I think it looks pretty good even with all those miles. And before you guys flame me, I do get it dirty

Nice looking truck, never would have guessed it was ever in an accident. How much did the insurance company have to choke down?

Talking

mental note: move up timeframe on rockslider purchase...

that reminds me, I was in an accident on friday myself. was in a parking lot driving out between the rows, and some girl in a VW passat was backing out and didn't see me (or the big ass white D110 passing behind her). I stopped and watched it all unfold. She backed into the side of my ARB bull bar. Final score: ARB bull bar 1 - Passatt 0. Takeaway, if you're in a VW anything, stay away from defenders and/or ARB's.

I got out, licked my thumb, wiped off her little paint residue from my bumper, and told her to have a nice day. She needs a new bumper.

The insurance company paid $4,000 less my $500 deductible, for a new door and fender and related hardware. They repainted the entire right side of the truck. If it was not for the rock sliders the damage would have been much higher. The rock sliders kept the floor pan from being crushed, and believe it or not the rock sliders did not bend at all. It just needed to be repainted.

That truck looks great. How does the other side look? Paint just as shiny?

It is. I paid extra for a complete buff and polish. They were able to get some oxidation out of the hood and now the whole vehicle looks good. I was lucky in that the first 5 years I owned it was kept in a garage at home and a parking garage at work.

Looks good! Who'd guess it has 200K on the clock. How does the engine perform?

Cheers...
