20% off @ SG

Just thought I'd let everyone know that SG is running a 20% discount for a limited time.

Is that to offset the delay in shipping?

Maybe. But some of their stuff really has no equal if you ask me. I'm thinking about getting the 3 link - 20% saves you quite a bit.

Not sure - but if it is I may have them install the 3-link. I'm going to call Mary on Monday.

Wait, I know I know.

20% off the price, because 20% of the parts will be missing on arrival.

Not yet. I sent Mary an e-mail late int he day today. I probably give her a call tomorrow.

I'll post here once I find out. I also like the rear shock mounts on the Twisted90. You can see them in the misc pictures

Spoke to Mary this morning. The 20% doesn't include labor . Their shop rate is $85/hour. They said they charge 8 hours to install a 3-link.

I bought the three link, rear shock mounts, (look under SG vehicles, D-90, misc pics, top left picture) which look pretty bad ass and sturdy, and the front external shock mounts (look under SG vehicles, D-90, latest close up pics, middle column three rows down).

I figure I'm gonna have them install the 30link and then I'll install the other stuff myself when I get the new shocks.

Just head south another 10min past SG and stop by my house. My shop rate is much cheaper. 6 beers an hour. I start off pretty fast, but then slow down! But seriously, I can help you do it if you want.

David,

If that is a serious offer I may be up for that. If I install it myself, with someone's help, that's $680 I can spend on more shit for the truck. If not or if I can get Mary to give me break on the install I would still love to swing by your place. I would love to check out your D-90, and it's always a good time drinking a beer or 6 with another Roverphile.

Joe

Hey bud,

Thats a serious offer. You have to bring your own jackstands (mine are under my truck since the big slam!) Other than that I am good to go. Has to be a weekend as work is pretty intense right now.

Oh and you should know, I've never done a SG 3 link before, but how hard could it be?! Famous last words......

Watch how tight you take those radius arm bolts on the frame side (apparently nearly finger tight to SG specs). And be ready to drill out all the holes due to thick powdercoat.
