I'm the pending, but before I go ahead, I wanted to make sure no one knows anything special like major accident, salvage, flood, etc.
I'm not new to vintage, so I don't worry about the mileage. It has a lot of wear and tear I'm sure, but maintenance isn't an issue. With only 300 of these produced, there aren't many low mileage examples out there. I looked at one advertised with less than 40k miles, but they must have been dog miles judging from the condition.

Presumably you've gotten the carfax and copies of any history documents and contacted previous owners / places that serviced it?

Sorry don't know this 90, but sound like you are going into the purchase with open eyes. Personally I would rather have a high mileage 90 that was used and kept up, than a low mileage one that wasn't used.

97s were notorious for bad speedometers. May have been replaced in that sub 40k one. I agree about the high mileage maintained comment

That was my thought, although the carfax didn't show any gaps.
On this one, they provided Autocheck which, although it showed a lot of East coast ownership, seems solid.

Thanks for the replies.

I don't know that any of them are bad, pure speculation.
North Hollywood speedo has done gauges for me in the past though, no need to ship as I am in Sherman Oaks.

i am pretty sure the ad reads there is an issue:

-ODOMETER WORKS AND READS MILES BUT BLINKS ON OCCASION (COMMON FOR THE 1997 DIGITAL ODOMETERS).

Oh, that.
TBH I was responding to the mileage discrepancy speculated about earlier in the thread. I don't think this one has a discrepancy.
As far as the blinking, I'll send it to Hartmut if it bugs me.
