Guy bought two in 1997. One for him and one for his son. Son didn't like it so it became his Sunday vehicle. Go figure

Nicely done! Congrats! I'd almost be afraid to drive it with that low a miles!

So this Defender was literally sitting in a storage unit for the past ten years and only driven once a week! It had the original tires on it! They have been swapped out with new BFG All Terrains. Next step is to replace the oil cooler lines!

My wife said the is just happy that it can't fit in the house otherwise I would keep it by the bed at night like I do whenever I get a new rifle from Larue!

Looks great aside from the white letters facing out! Congrats.

How'd you find it?

------ Follow up post added July 29th, 2013 01:22 AM ------

Also, I think I'm gonna swap the all terrains for a more aggressive mud tire.

From here?! or were you just asking everyone you knew if they knew of any defenders for sale?

I would drive a more aggressive mud terrain on the highway before switching out to them. There's a considerable amount of noise that results from mud terrains.

All of my friends are aware of my defender obsession. A car dealer buddy of mine came across it. No affiliation to this forum.

I'm from Mississippi. We put mud tires on most vehicles at one point or another. I think it has to do with our innate redneck vanity!

The hum of a mud tire is soothing. My wife doesn't even like the hum of an all terrain.
