1990 D90 value

Ok guys I need some help. I have seen a D90 for sale. Its in really nice shape, 167K miles. V8 and supposedly owned by a Land Rover Technician. One owner, they are asking 25K. Is that a good deal?

One owner, so you are buying direct from the UK? Or Australia, Singapore, etc?

For that money I can sell you LHD with only a third off the miles and already on this side of the ocean.

Should I ever be in the position to get another truck it will most likely be through Johan. He brings over great trucks.

Depends heavily on condition. Anywhere from $0 to $30,000.

CSW means County Station Wagon. That helps, but RHD is its biggest drawback. Condition? Photos?

IMHO, unless it has a galvanized frame, new bulkhead & is PRISTINE, it's not worth anything near to $25k. Main reason being that you can get a NAS (North American Specification) LHD one for not a huge amount more. They may look similar but are much better/more valuable and the 3.9/4.0 Efi V8 is a much better engine than the old 3.5 twin carb setup. I know that because my truck used to have the 3.5 & now has the 3.9.

Note: 1990 was the first year of the true 'Defender' with the 200Tdi Diesel engine. If it was a 200Tdi CSW, it would be worth more than as a V8. Sorry.

Just my opinion but RHD's are Fun to Drive. If there's an inkling of desire and apprehension is low I would highly suggest driving one. It really is a positive overall experience for some. My DD's are all LHD gas vehicles so having a RHD diesel as a non DD'er makes it funerer.
