Made me cry.

M St. with The Riggs Bank Building in the background. A little history trivia-that's the bank that put the financing together for Sewards folley. The purchase of Alaska.

As soon as they were pulling away I thought, "GOTTA GET THE NUMBER"

But, alas, I didn't get it.

Sorry.

Broken down, parked illegally...?

Why the ride on the JerrDan?

Doug: neat trivia. I attended a land surveying seminar for DC land surveying - those 2 days were packed with interesting trivia. When they first surveyed the district, they stopped at Florida because it was unpassable and appeared to be useless land beyond the chasm/cliff (I forget the term).

Bizarre town in a lot of ways, but the history is interesting. I've got a long list of "odd facts" about the land and city.

Broke down, they tried to start it, but it would only turn over. I am sure I could've fixed it in about 4 minutes, with internet access and a post on this site

The owner was no where to be found. I had my check book ready though.

Damn I could have literally been there in 4 minutes!

Actually, I think that's the one I've seen in pentagon row a couple of times.

Is it me, or does the truck look like its sitting a little low on its suspension?

Also, I've officially fallen out of love with checkerplate when used as anything other than a step surface. There's a D-90 here in Moscow that has plate all the way down the sides from the bottom of the sills all the way up to where the roll starts on the body.

I might know the owner if its who I think it is. She had a 90 but got ride of it a while ago for the 110. I'll have to check and see.

Checker/diamond plate brings out the worst in amateur bodywork. It also looks bad as "tough guy" version of formica for interior projects.

It has certainly has a place, but it is fast becoming the modern day chrome roll bar.

+1000 to that!
Diamond plate if you are going to step on it... nothing else. I cringe when people make us put that stuff everywhere.
The Defender version of "carbon fiber" IMO.

I do not check PMs. Call or email if you need something.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.

thank god it's been said. I hate diamond plate, but there is such an abundance of it in the D90 world that I figured i'd keep my mouth shut. I shake my head every time I see a truck covered in that crap.

Well it didn't appear to make it to Arlington Motorcars (walked by during lunch) but there was a hell of a nice conniston '94 on a galvanized chassis with the full Badger catalog's worth.

x2.

Even worse when you use the american version and not the proper 5 bar plate. Terrible.

nah. they are equally bad.

unfortunately my truck is covered in it. but the sills won't be going back on so that will help. think I will just chop the bottom of the rear bed corneras, then it will all be taken care of excet for wings and bonnet which I don't really mind.

much.

edit:looking at my avatar it goes up pretty high. guess I will have to figure something out, or just leave it ugly.
