110 in Brentwood

My brother has been telling me for weeks that he sees a 110 in Brentwood every morning with burgundy seats and a roof tent. I asked if it had a cage and he had no clue. Damn non rover lover. The truck sounded odd so I finally got him to send me a few shots. I swear I have seen this truck on the board for sale before. Does it belong to anyone here now?

Burgundy leather really?

On a positive note I think it is sporting original paint. Look at those unpainted rivets. Sweet.

Unpainted rivets = not original. Looks like the t-pieces were replaced. Also not original hinges or the front light panels. Rear lights are not original nor are the rear reflectors and it is missing the NAS rear bumper. Also has a glossy rear flare = not original.

Does look cool though.

well I was told by many people including Mike that the rivets unpainted is how they came. Most including mine are now painted which typically happened under the corrosion warranty. Yeah the truck is hacked up otherwise.

I think that is right now that I think about it. On a 90 they are painted.

Yes the owner is a SoCal local and wheels his trucks. His other truck is a Camel Trophey replica 90. The interior seats of the 110 are out of a Range Rover Classic so he had the rear seats re upolstered to match. I know the 110 has a numbered badge for what its worth.

I don't want to insult this guy if he is on the boards but to each their own. Parked in the same area is a fake camel trophy 90. It has the same wheels and same license frame so I am assuming it is the same guy.

That truck looks to have had a fair bit of work to me (looks like he is a fan of Euro style lights), but that is cool as it is what makes Defenders cool and keeps them going.

Rivets up the dog leg and the ones in the tub that hold the T support in place are unpainted from the factory.
The ones on the capping and such are painted from the factory. It has to do with how they assembled after the paint process.

I see the trucks all the time too. Nice guy. Chatted him up one evening when the 90 still had a hard top. That must have been back in '03. If I remember correctly, He was one the original partners that started Rover Accessories.

I saw this 110 in person this weekend. I might have to call the police on this one too. Pictures don't do it justice for how horrible this thing is. The seats don't fit at all. It has a range rover front and middle row seats. The jump seats are huge. It is auto but with some home made console. I died a little bit as I looked at it.

It is #40

No it is a NAS truck #40. He painted the plastic vent covers white along with the light surrounds. There is no grill just the fans ready for fingers to be inserted.

There is just so much crap on it.
