110 cargo storage box

Hey all you 110 owners - what type of storage boxes do you have mounted in your cargo area?

Specifically, I was really looking for the "Troy Boxes" but he is no longer in "business" and no one ever wants to sell them it seems. (I did a wanted ad FWIW).

I have looked at the LUND products in aluminum - they have one that looks like it will fit on the wheel well area.

I am only putting two of four jump seats in, leaving one side open for storage locker of some sort.

I just drew up the sizes I wanted and went to a local aluminum shop and they bent up the longest sides into a u shape and did the same for a top.. ANd then had a welder weld ends onto it and tacked aluminum angle around the inside of the upper lip of the box for a sealing surface, installed weatherproofing foam on the inside of the lids, slapped a couple of hinges on it and A lock and good to go... McMaster Carr or grainger has all the hardware you could need... Worked out cheaper than custom boxes..went with aluminum diamond plate and you can have them rhino lined or do it yourself..

I'd like to offer you one more option amongst what has already been presented. I'm working on a design that Alu-Box in Denmark will make specifically to fit a 110 Defender. The main difference with this design compared to Troy's designs, which I admire, Is that these are intended to be reversible and removable. There'll be a feature so you can lock them down but if you wanted to remove them you'd unlatch it and take it out for say camping purposes. Most of the custom designs are permanent so I thought I'd offer up a flexible solution as well.

[QUOTE=Jonesy;561567]Hey all you 110 owners - what type of storage boxes do you have mounted in your cargo area?

This is a mobile solutions superline drawer - I love it, but it is a little heavy, necessitating me switching out the rear suspension so it sits correctly when loaded. The fit is perfect and the chequerplate is thick enough to mount items to it securely.
