I know I'm not the only one questioning his claim that Land Rover special vehicles whipped it up for him special order, and sold it to him served on a platter (implied through the dealer and legal). Smells like 3 day old fish to me.

I'll give him $1,000 for it and I promise I wont call DOT

And if he is serious about Land Rover Special Vehicles, its 100% bullshit.

Now if he is talking about http://www.roverspecialvehicles.com/ Rover Special Vehicles, then he is telling the truth.

OK, I think Don is on to something; Devil is in the details here. How amazingly deceiving . So now the question is how did Rancho Bob get away with it. (it clearly is a beautiful example of forbidden desire).

Probably, but I'm curious as to how you're so sure. LR Special Vehicles will build almost anything you want if you put up the $$$. This however just doesn't seem that "special".

Me too... I told my wife to get a cemetary plot big enough to drive into and 15 feet deep (when I get the roof top tent, it's going with me too...)

Something is bothering me, when i ordered my 90 in 2004, i had
to fight hard with the LR representative to have it with the Tdi
and not the Td5. I had to wait 8 months to have the vehicle
delivered (beginning of 2005). Then we tried to make it again
for a friend, ordering a 110 Tdi, but it was not possible.
So if this guy has a 2006 Tdi, it has to be ordered during
2005, was LR still producing Tdi at this time ?

That's certainly a good start on a list of "concerns"!

I'm no expert ... but isn't that an earlier steering wheel ... its sure one that I associate with 200Tdi powered vehicles.
