Question $100,000 LR Series III 1964

What's the story??
Anyone seen the $100K 1964 109 Series III Land rover on Ebay?
Is it me or the seller who is mad? This thing is in New England,
looks to be in great shape, but the price??
A 100% show room retro fittedSIII, legal import from the UK would
run $45k to $60K (I am ball parking 2 transatlantic flights to buy it, check it etc).
At the same time, Copley moters in down town Boston (who I only hear
great things about ) have a 1994 D-90 at top $$$.
Whaz up??

And some issues were mentioned about it here

Hell, East Coast Rovers, Northwest British, BCB, West Coast British can basically build you a brand spanking new series for around 50-60k. ECR quoted me about 20k for a full refurbishment of all major mechanicals and 40-60k for a full restoration. 60k for a coilover with a v-8...

Slade nailed it. Pretty truck though, 'specially with that leather inside.

But I view this as silly. I saw (TV show on classic cars) a 1954 Dodge power wagon sold off at a price of $54,000. That was the highest price EVER paid for a 100% restored Powerwagon. The supportive paperwork outlined almost $80,000 spent on the restoration.
To expect to get your $$$ back when you step way outside the norm is a long shot gamble and not likely to succeed. I admit, if it is really that nice, I will pay a premium, but come on.
I really hope this D-110 was a love relation and not a business opportunity.
