Cool pics! Can someone please give me info on that blue Defender with the XZLs? Is that a 100" hybrid? Looks pretty cool. Also, are those 8.25 x 16 XZLs or 7.50 x 16? Thanks!

JP-

The rails were put there to keep people from trying to create an easy entry/exit and to keep it rather difficult. Neither one require you to "grind" although I did drive my tire up the one on the exit. And yes, it was Patriot.

The Blue 100 is a hybrid built by Shane Ballensky and owned by Craig Reece. It was well done and in fact has been converted to run on veggie oil. Shane's website is www.roverhybrids.com Not sure exactly what size the tires are(34" I believe).

Cool Tis, thanks!

BTW, Your 90 rocks! It looks really cool with those 37s, and those beadlock reams don't look to far out from the stock tornado alloys. Really cool!

I've always been amazed on how the 90 "grows" with the tire size you put under it. Unlike the jeeps that become smaller and smaller (body-wise) as you put in bigger tires.

Looks like you guys had a blast!

Actually JP, those rails were added a day before the trip so Tis can winch his 2nd best D90 out of Indy

People often try to cage me in...I'm used to it. Too bad I didn't save your phone message for everyone to hear that Monday morning "Uhh Tis, it's Yousef...I cannot make Indy today" and in the background I could hear your kids saying daddy don't be scared.

JP-

Noah's rig did have a few beauty marks before he got to CO but picked up one or two shiners on Indy.

Hey Michael, thanks for the link! Looks like the red D-90 was the adventurous one, the guy driving the Red D-90 in our group was the same way.

The red D90 was on a mission of sort. There was a sand hill on Poison Spider that several were racing up (or trying if they were short on either power or a long enough run). The D90 hig a bump the first time up and had all four wheels airborne.

On the second run the sand pulled the D to the left so only the right side hit the bump while the left side started to dig in. Very spooky for a second or so.

hmm I replied to this a few days ago but now it's gone

The tires on the Blue D100 are Michelin 8.25 16's. Approx 34" tall.
