Ah Dennis I did see your truck! But, it was on Saturday morning at the lineup, and I saw your truck allll the way across the field toward the next queue up out on the trails. I remember the Hella Cat eyes up top, and the rear windows out. Actually, it convinced me to take my windows out as well, and I think it was the smartest thing I did all weekend. Never saw you or your truck again, though.

Unfortunately, I was only up there for Saturday. I wheeled with some guys I know and we had a blast. I do wish that I could've seen Ron beating on his 110. I love that he isn't afraid of the skinny pedal.

Weird...when I click on the above pics the "larger" window that opens is a different photo.

That was the "pit of despair" I think. It was on the backside of the powerline trail

This is where I broke my front axle. See the rear wheel spinning only

It seemed like only some of the trucks could make it up that hill. Longer wheelbase trucks seemed to get up it better and also trucks with different tires would make it up no problem. Jorge and Josh made it up with their KM2s, Jarek and Adrian with their SSRs or whatever they have. My KM1s had no chance... even when I was wearing my sombrero! But on the hill after that I made it up and they didn't. Everything was pure ice.

Lucky for me I snapped it right at the flange. took it apart and the piece was sticking out of he flange about 2 inches. popped the CV off and stuck a new CV on the axle, drank some beers and that was it.

I can't remember, but I don't think I made it up it the first day without some help. I made it up the second day, but with significantly more pedal.

Did you happen to have the power of the sombrero the second day?!

Nope. Just observant. The whole first day and half everyone kept yelling at me to use more pedal, or "drive it like you stole it" - I thought I was, but my floor mat had rolled over under the screw on the other side of the accellerator, so until I realized that, I was just lying when I told them I had the pedal to the floor. haha. oops.
