No shit. I've been going up there for 18yrs or so and this was pretty much the easiest it's ever been. Even the "pit of dispare" was easy compared to the usual. Some of the other small obstacles were a little tricky due to the *brown ice*.
I'm not complaining. There has been years when all forward movement for the first couple of days was behind a winch. This year you could drive any trail in any direction in a stock IIA. Fantastic conditions.

A happy medium would of been nice. Last year we couldnt even get to the base of the power lines because the snow was so deep this year it looked like a fire road.

Bruce thank you again for your hospitality! Had a great time as usual. Couple pics.. Nothing like seeing a fleet of stock Series trucks emerge from the darkness. Very cool.

Looks like a great time. Wish I could get there for it but the kids always have their school break the same weekend. But we got to enjoy the snow too - just over a couple of states in VT :D

Dennis, was this your truck?

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...3&d=1329607575

Or a different one? Don't think I ran into you there.

There was also a white-ish truck with the A-bar of the front rollcage messed up/compacted into the driver side? Was that you? If so, then we spoke for a minute.

Nope. There were 3 white 90's that I saw there. I actually don't have a pic on mine. I do think I saw a black 90 on the steep ice hill where those drunk guys were falling and drinking moonshine. That really was the highlight of the trip.

Did you see when the guy yelling "drive like i stole it" was pulling laterally on the winch cable while they were winching? The operator released the winch and the guy fell flat on his ass. Hat went flying and he was bald as could be. Effing hilarious.
My friend told me that teeth could be used as currency up there. I think he was right.
Had a great time

Cool.. I know I saw you guys out there. Maybe next year we do a D90 happy hour.. My truck is hard to miss. I only had one snicker from a guy I over heard saying I ruined a perfectly good Series I but then again he was wearing a plaid hat that matched his shirt so it was hard to take him seriously...
