Pretty sure I'm still coming unless I have to deal with snow and frozen gutters. I think I had better order chains. It's going to be a serious parking lot this year.

Anyone have chains for 315/75r16's

Last report from this past weekend was 5-6' of snow, ice underneath from ground water/late snow this winter, layers of snow are compacting and turning into the BB type stuff.

I'm in on renting the skidder.

And then we have highs in the single digits forecasted...

But it will be sunny.

I've never run chains up there but I am having second thoughts.

If i was Bruce id make chains mandatory this year. Nothing sucks more than getting stuck behind a bunch of people without them.

Fully locked on 33s with studded snows last year, still got stuck a bunch. Chains should be mandatory.

Erik,
I'm thinking Big G's can handle Trey.

It will be interesting for sure. Been going for 7 years now and the terrain is ALWAYS different. I've seen some chain fails, so I don't know how I feel about them.

------ Follow up post added February 9th, 2015 01:49 PM ------

Nothing was worse than the year they let the guy with the stock RRC out on the trails with bald tires and he got hung up on his snow plow frame that he did not remove and blocked the entire trail entrance for 2 hours

I remember watching you last year cutting your own trails on top of the Power Lines in the powder in that thing

You'll be in the back between two car seats... although with the cold temps they may bail. Get that compressor going!! Don't you have any in stock?

We have the smaller ones in stock, the larger ones use a different connection.

Me too, been going for 7 years and i've never run them. I've seen guys with chains do worse than guys without them. It really all depends on the conditions. 2 or 3 years ago when it was just all ice it was bad but still made it through. 6 years ago with lots of powder the 35"s did fine.

I think the conditions is what really matters, no debating chains, no chains, ATs, MTs, 28" - 40" haha.

Yeah if you read the NOAA forecast discussion, it doesn't look good. Or bad depending on how you look at it I guess.
