Odd, haven't experience that before. Sucks that happened either way. This weekend was not a good time to lose a winch, which apparently Mike did when he was behind me on the bypass. Didn't realize at the time he was trying to keep up with me, probably should have fixed the CB!

My winter romp started about 60 miles from home. We had run into the storm that crippled the DC area @ Chambersburg, Pa. We drove through Pa, MD, West Virginia and all the way to Staunton Va on unplowed interstate by staying behind a semi. When it came time to cross over the Blue Ridge mtns was when it got interesting.
We managed to get up Afton Mtn on I64 in 2 wheel drive pulling the 10,000 lb trailer but just barely. We noticed that @ top the consistency of the snow went from fine and dry to big and wet. It was damn near white out conditions up top. @ the top we got off the interstate since it went East and we needed to go West. We locked into 4 wheel low and put the truck in first and let the trailer weight push us down the 3 mile grade without touching the brakes. Snow was around 8-12 inches deep. Once down in the valley on small mountain back roads it was crazy difficult. Many of the roads I had to use didn't even have a set of tracks on them. Pulling a trailer with a diesel f250 on it in that weather sucked.
Highest temp I saw yesterday on the overhead display crossing 9 states was 14.

Doug - Awesome to meet (and drink heavily) with you. Sorry we didn't say bye in the morning. Figured you'd like to get some sleep and we were out fairly early. Glad to hear you made it back okay.

Chris same here, we rolled out @ 6:30 am. Ron sent me a text you guys were leaving Waterville, I responded that I was already on 495 in Mass. Figured you guys had your scenario in hand and I had just under 1000 miles to cover. Leaving your truck running all night lends itself to getting up early.

I'm sorry I got them mixed up. I mean the pastel green 109 that looks abandoned.

I thought the same thing Charles...if I lived where trucks like that were left abandoned, I'd need acreage and several barns ...

Examples are plentiful. I love the "tractor" plate.

He loved it. And in my defense I may have been on hour 5 of drinking Allagash White.

I'm not sure what was going on there.

You never know with Tor-no

One of these years I'll make the laundry room fiesta. I hear it's the place to be. Though I also hear it isn't so popular with management.
