I'm in, arriving Friday. Last year I helped break all the trails on Friday, this year I am kicking back and just enjoying the socializing.

I'm planning on heading up. Haven't booked a room yet, however. Should probably get on that!

I'll be there, only missed one year since 2002. God willing and the creek don't rise I will be there in a Land Rover this year. Though I guess the LR should be able to make it across the creek. Hmmm...have to think about that one.

sure it would. but you need solid recovery points front and rear and should probably invest in tire chains and fit them in your driveway to make sure they work.

I was pretty close to bone stock last year on snow tires and I did extremely well WITHOUT tire chains.

Just air down to around 11-12psi and "boot it".

kevin

do you know if they can be made to fit 235's?

I like chains since they mean I don't ave to "boot it". Helps when you running a more or less stock setup, rover axled heavy-assed 109 loaded with all your winter gear.

they are a pain to fit and remove but I like 'em. I did notice quite a few vehicles do well without them.

YMMV.

Ron-- I agree with Russ.... your tires suck. I think you're on 35s now? Weren't you talking about going smaller? If so, pick up those BFG MT KM2s for $125/ea ... 285/75/16 .. about 33s .. smoking deal..

Running!!???? she is running better than Marion Jones on steroids! I need to get an alignment and fix a little over-heat issue, but other than that, everthing is good (knocking on wood).

Ron, you should get some new tires. Your 35s run more like 33s.

FYI: It's me and Ryan's birthday that weekend... bring beer.

I'll yank ya out, Ron. You've done plenty for me! Oh by the way. That rear diff guard. Think it's worth picking up before the romp? How difficult is it to put on? Be done quick in the garage up there?

Ryan, i was real close to picking up the K2's . But I think they may be a little small. I took a 285 75 MTR and put it on the truck and it just didnt look right.

Dan, your right i only have 1 good tire out of the 5. I wish the K2's where out in a 305 or 33.
Hope you figure out the overheat problem.
No worries you dont need a birthday for the beer to flow....

Chris, thanks for having my back....But I probally wont need it cause I never get stuck : )
There arent alot of rocks at the Romp. they had 2 feet of snow last i heard.
It is an easy install. done it many times on my back in the driveway.Im sure Bruce would let you pull it in to do the install. Its still on my truck right now.

Ron,

They ARE out in a 315/75-16. Spec'd at 34.8" tall.
Interco SSRs in 285/75-16 run large too. See pic.
The comparison pic is next to a MTR in 265/75-16

Kevin - the wheels look nice!

I hope I can go to the WR but I'm not sure if the truck will be ready - I need to buy and install the CB and extended brake and abs lines.
