Brr its cold here... trails were fun but tough, most of the time out there today was traffic jams waiting for people to get unstuck.. I got stuck twice in the same hole and my friend eric (pictured in d2) got stuck real bad... also attached is a pic of Jimmy's d-90

Jimmy broke a real axle but had a spare and fixed it on the trail this afternoon. I blew a bead this morning but got it fixed at Waterville WalMart for free this evening. BAD snow, dry and sugary.

Now I'm home and looking at the clean up (thankfully in a shop with a lift...or I'd probably be REALLY depressed) I'd have to question the sanity of thrashing 5 trucks for 2 days to break out a trail loop that took maybe a couple hours to drive once we were done (if indeed anyone even drove it).

That said, we had a blast and if I could go out again today I'd do it. It was great to see everyone, and hats off to Bruce and the trail leaders.

new expansion complete. Not only are we the only Rover shop in Eliot Maine...now we're also the biggest.

Trails were easier on Sunday. Good times were had by all.

Here's some photos:

Who was in the yellow soft top with D-90.com logo on the back that I passed on 95 south in Maine, early afternoon. I was in the red 109

Yep that pile is my Brutus...

Made it home just fine, we had a BLAST pulling long hills in middle of nowhere Quebec, finally got the Cummins to work hard enough to get the boost gauge moving and the pyro up. It really hauls. The trans temp came up to about 175, which lets me know it actually works.

They are 39 Michelins. Truck is a 1980 XMOD 109 with a Cummins 6BT/big auto trans/LT230/Cruiser axles and a nice purple winch cable courtesy of Matt Browne...

head gasket blew on the NJ turnpike going up. Spent 4 days at Ben Smith's place getting it put back together.

I think it was due to paint on the head mating surface. Yes, I am an idiot. It came like that and it never occurred to me to clean it off.
