Ed,

Manimal and I are headed out on the 10th and picking up Briggs in Sacramento on the way down. We've got an extra day to play in Northern AZ in the schedule and I need to be at the Expo on Thursday morning to build and set-up the booth.

You are welcomed to caravan if the schedule works with your plans. Would have you in Flagstaff a day early and you can easily break off to spend an extra day in Death Valley or somewhere along the route.

Brian sounds good , I'll see if I can make that area around the time you leave . I have a friend going along he is driving the OM617 powered 109 and if I get done I'll be driving the 110 .
I'll keep you posted on my timeline , you need help with setup at EXPO .
Thanks Ed

If any of you want to come out to San Diego on your way in or home let me know, we can do a HH.

Of course, it will be during "May Gray" so don't expect sun or anything. But the carne asada can't be beat.

May be headed back through SoCal - not quite as far south as SD. Any chance you guys would come up to OC for a happy hour? Probably Dana Point or Laguna Beach area (visiting friends in Irvine/RSM and then up into LA)

I think we should should schedule a D-Source meet & greet for a certain time and day. Would be great to put a face to everyone.

Just replaced my timing belt this weekend in preparation for this trip! Getting excited! Adding a Foxwing awning next! Who else is gearing up? Preparation is half the fun!

I need to make some mock ups on the mounts this week, so I can take it to my welder to fab them up. I'll be rocking and rolling soon. Shouldn't be hard to do.

Going out of Flagstaff you will be passing a National monument with some excellent Pueblo indian ruins. If you take the North West exit from Flagstaff you are an hour and a half from the Grand Canyon then can follow the South side to get back to 89A.

Once you get past Monument Valley you have to make it past the entrances to Valley of the Gods & the Gooseneck. Then you have to go past the turnoff to Mesa Verde & Hovenweep.

Once you get to Moab a tour of Aches is a must. So you will want to spend a day there. Moab is a total waste if you just drive through.

How can you just drive past Monument Valley and just drive through Moab?

If it were me on a tight time limit I'd go North, do a stop at Monument Valley, East to Hovenweep then Mesa Verde then South to Canyon de Chilly then South East to Chaco Canyon then on home on I-40. If I had an extra day I'd hit Grand Canyon South rim.

Thankfully I live in Flagstaff so all these are day trips to get there.
So I'm going to take Terri Ann's input on our itinerary betwen Flagstaff and Denver. We'll leave Expo Sunday afternoon heading to Monument Valley on the way. Need to find a great camp area (preferrably primitive or semi-primitive) between Monument and Arches National Park. Any recommendations? We have dinner reservation in Denver, meeting up with a friend that lives there Monday night, so want to make the most of it and wake up Monday morning to awesome scenery if we can.
