Interesting, Dan.

Some new neighbor must have it in for them.

I have not been there for a few years myself; maybe since that last Rally... '09 was it??
Time flies...

The ninnys that run our bureaucratic Nanny State will rule over our every movemen, our every stept one day soon. A sad state of affairs indeed.

That sucks, I loved wheeling there. The owners are super nice and very helpful. Its a shame to see something like this shut down, although I can see how neighbors wouldn't like it.

Living here in Crozet I can say that it has attracted the wrong kind of attention for a while. Chris and Heather are great people, but Albemarle being what it is- I thought it was only a matter of time before this happened. A shame, that place is unique. With the one lane access in and out not sure how they would get a permit together. there is one new neighbor creating the problems. I had a good time.

Here is Jeff last time.

that place was always good for a little body damage.

Wow Chuck, that view makes my ass look big...

I had fun there.
I've only been 4 or 5 times.
Grenaded a Rovertracks CV and destroyed the spindle BITD.
Chapman drove all the way over to deliver me a stub axle to get it home.

Shame to hear Chris and Heather getting the shaft from the neighbors.
What they do is a labor of love.

that was a different day, the day you broke I blew out the spider gears in the rear. We were parked next to each other in the field doing repairs. Not a good day for a range rover.

The Albemarle body that holds conservation easements for the county has determined that an off-road trail network near Crozet is not in violation with a covenant on the property.
The ruling by the Albemarle Public Recreational Facilities Authority means that members of the group Rock Crawlers for the Preservation of Future Access can resume events if they can get permission from the county’s zoning department.

“They can apply for a special-use permit for this, so that would take into consideration traffic and the noise,” said Andrew Herrick, an assistant county attorney.
