Ah, well... have fun.

Instead of trying, again, to break Humpty Dumpty, I'll be taking a test on Friday afternoon - land surveying, so math, legal stuff, and LOL... *ethics! - while you're all down there having fun? Hell, I'll still be crunching numbers when y'all will be breaking out the beer in plastic cups.

Bastards!

*The funny part is when I got my Maryland license, I passed everything the first time through... except ethics. I had to take it 3 times for the ethics part of the test.

Looks like Charles and I will be leaving N.Va around 9am Thursday- that should put us @ Uwharrie around 4. Anybody else from the board going to be there for some evening trail running ?

I'll be in the Jamaican taxi, probably lots of rattles, but you can't hear them over the other noises

Much better than last year when you were trying to diagnose the funny rattle in my truck!

Should be interesting. Found this post about the Uwharrie event on Discoweb:

"My buddies went this weekend. Holy crap. MUDDY!! I hope it dries out some between now and then. They were all running super swampers, locked, blah blah and were pulling a lot of cable."

Cirbo-
I defer to your local knowledge and Janey's brakes, I'll bring up the rear.

I don't know. Two years ago at MAR the guys I was with ran across the Red Rhino crew spinning their swampers and sliding all over the trails as we walked through it no issues on MTs and moderate lifts.

Y'all have fun. If anyone wants to stop by Beltsville, MD and steal, err... p/u Humpty for Unwharrie, let me know.

Doug, if you'd like to swap the diesel for something a little nicer that's fine, too, just leave the keys.

Dunno. remember my speedometer/odometer is broke!

My guess would be 800-900. If you looked at my gas receipts, 1600!

A few from my camera.

The last one is our EE trail repair spoof of trail repair. I was so excited to get there I left my gas cap in Danville, VA.

No hard feelings John Lee, just joking around.

Tony,

I must have missed a wrecked 90. They gave away a trophy for the truck least likey to make it home and that was a series truck with a broken axle shaft and a left front wing torn back several inches. There was a disco that went over on its side Thursday on Daniel (the hardest trail) that was runner up. Janey lost one of her "aluminum sliders" in a spot where I literaly pivoted my 110 on a bolder on my rock slider. Initially it was very dusty on Thursday and Friday but Friday evening we got just enough rain to wet down the dust and then miday Saturday when most everyone was out on trails the heavens opened and everything got very interesting quickly. Picture climbing a rock face with tires loaded with soupy red clay while a river of water flows down the rock face. We had a blast ! We camped over in a corner and had 4 110's, two Coniston Green 90's and three Range Rovers. Aside from some cooling problems from radiators loaded up with mud (Charles and I made it out Saturday night on cooler melt), a bent wheel and minor tree kiss on one of the 90's, and janey's slider the trucks in our group all came through damage free.
Meeting and wheeling with Scott Wold and Jim Cirbo on Saturday was a blast. Scott's 90 on 35's with beadlocks and lockers would go anywhere. But Jim's pristine red 300tdi auto was my personal favorite-it also went anywhere and everywhere with ease.
Also met Doc Aaron from the site here as well- he was in a newly aquired Classic.

it was 350 each way for me.

So Charles, I was wondering, is your radiator half empty? Or half full...
