I talked to Erin at GBR4x4 and he said the D1 and D2 use same 3.54 diff, so using a D2 allows a newer used part than going with a D1. Makes sense to me. He has both he sells for under $70 at same price to help us types out from his spares cache.

I'll add that I don't actually know who that was, or who was there, or if they knew what to do, but I've been stuck in the exact same spot though!

Definately a fine tribute to Justin with this water crossing attempt. Word was that after wringing the air cleaner out like a dirty dish sponge (and making almost 2 full days of field repairs) he was able to get it re-started and driving.
