It was very nice meeting everyone. I had a good time..but am missing Matilda already and I freely admit that I fell deeply in love with Brewie's 107 Yum Yum... it's impossible not to

Agreed... who doesn't love a 107 LHD Wagon?
Weekend was fun, fun, fun.
Can they drag out a 1 hr auction/raffle to 2.25 hrs or what?

That was a great weekend - made it home with a CEL 45 of course but nothing new there. Right side O2 sensor looked like someone took a hammer to it

Big thanks to Brian, Jason and Jonesy for helping me get the cage.

Brian... I didn't get to see Jason before he headed out.

I'm sending you something tomorrow to show my gratitude. Thanks doode.

Sorry I couldn't get it to you this weekend.

After I arrived late Thursday night and sat in the quiet lower loop I knew something was amiss. In my mind there was no chance that early arrivals were hold up in their tents waiting for daybreak. I drove around until I found the group camp where Jonesy came up hollering at me as I drove into sight. Huge fire, libations and camaraderie run amuck. Excellent adventure! It was good to see old faces and meet new folks too. My lady came in Friday afternoon. She had never been off roading or camping, let alone with such a group of suspects, despite 32 years of mountain living in western Va. After a glass of wine she fell right in with you bunch of knuckleheads. The fire pit escapades were hilarious. Time flies and Sunday morning came much too soon. I hope everyone got home with minimal problems. So what is the issue with Craig's 110?

Not sure yet, she is sitting at Uncle Douglas' Rover Restoration Barn, awaiting a verdict. Hoping Ruby will be ready for Rovers on the Rocks!!!!!

I left Thursday morning, then again Thursday afternoon (after Mark and I worked for 3 hrs on our BRC 110) that I had been working on non-stop to drive it to Uwharrie.
Suspension sway put the kibosh on driving the BRC 110.
Finally departed for the last time Friday afternoon.
Ending up having to swap the wheels off the disco onto the DRA 110 that I was avoiding driving due to a real main seal weeping oil.
Arrived early evening Friday to a wonderful group on friends that immediately provided food and drink as all the stress melted away.
It was good to hang out with everyone.
Raub showed up later that evening with his fresheadgasketed lhd tithonus via the over the top Uncle Douglas skill set.
Saturday like the elite muthalikkas you thought you were, we took to the trails.

All the usual suspects made the weekend soooo enjoyable.
Shayne and his lovely red headed wife (such a keeper) were on had for the Lav - Jonsey pyromania that would have impressed Bill Nye.
Also Shayne's overlander 130 is quite impressive.

One remerable comment came from Mark Kellgren, who said: "Beagles should be eradicated from the planet. I'm going to train a troop of foxes to hunt down Beagles and kill them!".

The icing on the cake was meeting up with the one and only Dave Burgess of the "You can't get to tanzania from nairobi unless you traverse Uganda" fame.
Dave is in store for some unique travel experiences in the future.

Can't wait till the next event...

Prior to URE12, the only place you could see that many Defenders at once was the CBP impound yard.

You know it.
Sandra is quite talented... impressive art and music skills.
Even their Aussie cattle dog can sing!
I hope Shayne is back on this forum soon.
He was quite the mild mannered gentleman all weekend.
When Uncle Douglas called, I passed the phone to Shayne.
UD thought he was talking to Jonsey during most of the conversation.
