I don't check this board all the time. Any questions email me at oldnorthstate@gmail.com

CDeWan, You did not order a t shirt. Asking for one on this board is not the same. I sent you a pm on the 16th. That offer is no longer good. Sorry.

I would email them directly and confirm. But I would not think they will have an issue with you stopping out. If you're planning to camp and stuff you can always find Steven or Dan and pay the registration fee with them there.

Their facebook page would also be a good place to post questions about the event.

Thanks, I'm not looking to hit the trails without registration. I would like to meet some folks on the board and see some cars. Thanks for the response.

Trails will be separate from the event. The event is held in a National Forest so you will need to buy your trail passes separately. You can pick up trail passes at the Eldorado Outpost which is on Hwy 109 right by the turn off to the camp grounds. Day passes I think are $5/day.

Event registration is to cover the event and camping.

Only 2 Days Away!
Are you ready?

URE!
Uwharrie Rover Expedition!
October 24-26, 2014
Uwharrie National Forest

I almost thought this weekend would never get here. How I hate the wait and anticipation. But now, the truck is packed, the food is bought and I'm just tying up a few loose ends before I head out for the 11th annual URE!

I just wanted to say a couple quick things about this year's event:

Camping
This is the largest URE we have had to date; Over 95 Registrations! As many of you know the Group Campground is not overly large. If you are camping with a group, then please set your tents a bit closer together as we will need room for the over 100 tents we are anticipating this year.

Weather
It looks as though the weather is going to be excellent for fall camping. We are expecting it to be dry and warm. During the day expect the temperatures to be in the upper 60's to low 70's and cool at night in the mid to upper 40's. So plan accordingly.

Registration
We will have self serve registration tent located near the entrance of the Group Campground. Here you will find the event schedule and rules, trail maps for the lead trail rides on Saturday, and the URE disclaimer form. This must be filled out.

T-Shirts
If you preordered a shirt before Noon last Wednesday, then you will be receiving it at the dinner Saturday night.

Schedule
_______________________________________
Friday:
7am - 10pm
Do whatever you like! Go on an OHV trail ride, head to Badin Lake for some fishing, or relax in the campground. If you bring your bike, you can go on one of the many great mountain bike trails. Enjoy the Uwharrie National Forest!

6pm - 7pm
Building and maintaining a proper recovery kit. Presented by Blue Ridge Expeditions

10pm
Quiet time

Saturday:
9:00am
Driver meeting at the Eldorado Outpost for Easy and Moderate led trail rides.

9:30am
Depart for led trail rides.

12pm to 1pm
Winching 101. Presented by Blue Ridge Expeditions

3pm to 4pm
Advanced recovery methods/Hi-Lift Jack intro. Presented by Blue Ridge Expeditions

4:30pm to 7:30pm
Dinner / Auction / Raffle

10pm
Quiet time

Sunday:
Clean up, pack up, go home! You are welcome to stay in the campground, but must leave the premises by Noon. Also, ask around if anyone would like to go on one last trail ride to extend the experience as long as possible.
