Trails in Catskills

All,

I'm going up to the Catskills for the long weekend and was wondering if anyone knew of any trails/parks (or open land which i doubt) in the area around Hunter Mountain....looking to test out the new set of M/T's that are getting installed today.

Thanks in advance,
Nedim

Hunter Mountain.... my buddy (Frank, yellow D90) has a house in Hunter Mountain. The only places I know of are on the South/West side of the Catskills.

Have a good time.

You might have better luck posting in the 'Hitting the trail or an Event' section, as this is the 'Looking for Help' section.

My parents live in the area and I grew up there. There is pretty close to no cool trails to wheel up there that you'd get a 90 to fit on. I know of some old county/town roads that have washed out and might be fun but no real offroading.

Man, I would think there are a ton of trails there. It is very mountainous and lots of rough terrain

There are a lot of logging roads but the problem is that they're all on private property. My parents have a few hundred acres up there that I mess around on which is fun. Usually I hop on one of the ATVs and we can ride across several valleys. Over Thanksgiving we went something like 115 miles and never did the same trail twice. Unless you or your family is local theres no way to do it, only people knowing who you are or your dad/mom is the only way to get permission to do it.
