I have invested in exterior Dei Heat shield for tunnel and Dynamite liner. not installed yet. Still to hot to lay under Defender. Anybody have any advice or experience in try to unroast my car.
Just to be clear I bought my 110 to drive (alot) camping, and future overloading. Im trying to make this thing comfortable as hell, but the heat. I don't even see how a new ac could compete this 140+ degree tunnel

I did 1667 this year in my 110 with plenty of elevation gain. Slight problem in Mariposa, I dealt with that, and made it home safely.

Buy these for the dream of adventure...then go live it!

Braver than I Gunga Din. There is no way I would head south and drop off the Colorado Plateau during the summer half of the year. It is a brutal place to be without a very goo air conditioner. I've never understood why they built a city there.

Much cooler in Flagstaff where the all time heat record is 97 degrees.

Trip planning is coming along.

Right now me in the winterized 110 WMIK and mates D2 are leaving VT February 1st. We are linking up with another 110 WMIK in FT dicks NJ area and pushing to get south of DC on day one.

Then driving to Jacksonville FL by Friday miday to meet with a make a wish kid and play 2 days of airsoft at an indoor field. Then pushing with make a wish kid and family early Sunday morning to Tampa area. We will then configure both 110's into armed WMIK configuration to meet up with a Saracen, Fox, G wagon, and some other military vehicles for a airsoft game. Then move to the Sarasota area for Monday/Tuesday for some beach time and then start our way back to VT. Then take a week to refit and rest then back out to winter romp
