I'm 1.5 hours south of NoVA, but I'll be going. Not sure, yet, if we'll be hitting the Uwharrie event on the way down.

Too early to tell just yet. We had another family go down with us last year, and we picked up a crew in SC along the way.

Well, If we can go maybe we can hook up somewhere and head out. Where did you stop at last year? Its about a 24 hour drive right?

We took our time on the ride down. We hit the Uwharrie event, then buzzed down to Atlanta for a night or two. When we left Atlanta, we made it all the way to Tyler, TX before stopping for the night. The next day was a 3 or 4 hour ride to Hidden Falls.

On the way home we were booking it. We made it all the way to the north side of Memphis before stopping. We were home the next evening. So yes, I would say about a 24-hour ride.

There is always a nice little group from Houston at SCARR. I don't think very many are on this board, but there are a couple of D-90 owners who do come, the rest have Discos and Rangies. I can get you in touch with some of the Houston crowd if you would like!

I haven't registered, but I may go depending on what my schedule is. Assuming nothing else on my old 110 gives me trouble. If so, it's AAA towing distance back home (assuming someone will pull me out to the road .

I figure this will be a good way to shake things down a little bit - I've only put about 5000 miles on it and I still don't completely trust it.

Michael, there will be plenty of people on hand that could help get your truck to a tow spot if it comes to that. Many of us have AAA as well and Austin is well within my packages tow mileage range from the park.

If you are going to come out for anymore than one day, I would suggest you register asap. Althought is likely we'll have one for you, we cant guarantee you a shirt until we fulfill all the other registrants but you'll get in on all 3 meals, we just need to have accurate accounting for the catering people.

Chris- short story is I have a 90 needing to go to Reno, and a 130 (inop)returning from LA, and having poor luck with shippers on both accounts. I may head out after Safari this w/e, do the loop and return via SCARR for a day- lots of ifs. Anyway, suggestions concerning registration/being a rider for a day, etc. thanks- might catch a ride w/ Mr. Ullman:-)
