I have to bow out also folks . I'm disapointed as I was looking forward to the weekend .Screwed my back up last week by thinking I was still in my twenties. Common sense is telling me if I want to walk upright Monday morning sleeping on the ground after wrestling with the series all day is not the thing to do . Hopfully I'll make the next one .

Just FYI I've got my shop just about all set up at the new house in Allentown,Pa. Little more than an hour from Rausch if anyone needs a place/tools to get fixed up to get home. My Cell is 610 419 0680. I'll be around all weekend

Today saw a red 90 softtop leaving Home Depot on 7th St Allentown , anyone from here?

Evan

Trevor

Follow-up Post:

Mike, sent an e-mail to Lynn for about 5 tonight between 11- and midnight. I also told her that if you were going to be much later, that you were likely to hit a reststop and sleep there instead of possibly waking people.
Alos, she said the gate should be unlocked, but she sent me the combo in case.

Cool, we'll keep the noise to a minimum! We'll put the trucks in silent mode.

I'm meeting Tyler in Frederick and should arrive with him and Trevor if all goes well.

I take it everyone is all set for food. I've bought enough for two (although I can eat for two) and have a decent set of cookware.

See you guys tomorrow.

Sorry guys, but i don't think that I'll be able to make it.
I just started a new job today and there are no longer enough hours in a day to get things done.
Lesson: never accept a new job two days before a fun weekend.

Early report... Friday had 8 trucks come out (6 D90s & 2 Discos). Had a good run around a bunch of trails on the 1st half of the park. Only other people we saw were 3 rock buggies so traffic running into on the trails. Light rain here and there but nothing bad. That held off until dinner time and had some good rain over night. This morning Jimmys fuel pump decided the truck was done playing for the weekend. Not feeling so hot, I left early and fought the rains home. Some of the group had gone out and just come back for lunch and I didnt see anyone complaining about damage so it must have been a good run. I snapped some pics and will get some up in a bit.

Any excitement after I left? BTW, thank you again to the northern crowd for bringing along all the extra coolers of food packed with great eats. Jimmy banged out more tasty treats off that little Weber grill than I thought possible.

Oh Jimmy, my D90 was dead Sunday morning when I went out to start it. Would crank but never caught over. Dont know if this was the problem you were having Sat, but if you didnt already, check your ECU and see if code 19 is showing. Might not be the fuel pump as you guys were thinking.

No new codes on the ECU, I check that first. The fuel pump did not work when I put 12 volts on it directly, I thought you were watching me when I told everyone to stand back?

We had a BLAST! We hit some more trailes, on guy (Sorry I forgot his name) broke his track rod but spare parts made it by night fall. Dave H bent a sill, but he needs sliders anyway It poored Saturday night but we set up some ore Tarps, got a big fire going and cooked up a ton of food again. Then it cleared up some and we all goofed off around the campfire making smoores drinking some beers and the chit chat went from talking Rovers to Sams having a Smoking Hot Butt (She stood backwards to the fire and someone made the coment that her backside was smooking because they didn't want her to burn herself and the coments went all over the place from there . Sunday morning we mostly packed up and headed home after makking breakfast.

It was a GREAT weekend, even without a Rover!

Dont forget there were snowflakes drifting down Sun morning.
That said, after two nights with rain around the campfire, lottsa good food (thank you jimmy, brenda, dave etc), good trails = good fun. Even with the rain and snow and lack of Mike driving. While mike didnt drive, he spots pretty good.
Also good to finally meet up with a bunch more people and put more faces to names.

The guy who broke the track rod apparantly somehow got his disco up onto a stump that settled in between the diff and the track rod. When he backed out it just .... well you get the picture. His name was Wassime and his spare parts delivery driver (who drove up Sat nite) must have broken axles every time he gets behind the wheel of his jeep - even with a 4cylinder.

Did trevor have the dog with him? Did he start paddling in the back seat? I am pissed I could not come. Would anyone be interested in setting up another trip end of may or June?
