Sort of hitting the trail...

Well, not really, but I am taking my D90 on a trip up to Arvonia, VA this Saturday to meet one of the fellow DS members... 700 mile round trip... is there a survival kit for my Defender that I should prepare before the trip? Just had it services, so I'm hoping she holds up well for the trip...

Thanks in advance!

Dan

But seriously, I think people worry more than they should. As long as the truck is well maintained there aren't a lot of issues that should happen randomly that would leave you stranded.

Ha, thanks guys! I signed up for AAA, Visa and MasterCard are good, and DMS, I'll throw the other stuff you mentioned in as well!

Wold, I'd go the long way if I had time, but I'm going straight up and to the East this time around...

You should join the Birmabright Brotherhood which is a list of rover owners willing to help others.

Otherwise post here if you run into trouble

Is it legal to wear headphones while driving? I'd rather do that than use ear plugs...

I'm driving up Saturday night, and would love to meet up for a drink somewhere, I'm just not crazy about adding another 120 miles to my trip... Thanks though!

As far as I know, there isn't much out there. What route are you going? I would think you'd be better off getting a hotel in Lynchburg and then driving out to Arvonia in the morning.
