Send off party

If not known....Ray Gerber will be headed over seas for the next couple of years in June/July time frame. That being said, we will be hosting a send off party at our farm in Unionville, on May 10. IF we don't get anymore snow...the pool will be open. This is a family friendly gathering that will probably run on into the night, with a large fire to cap off the evening. There is plenty of space for over night camping.
Menu will be pulled pork, BBQ chicken, burgers, dogs and all the sides. I would recommend byob, but there will be a keg of Ray's favorite on tap.
Pets are welcome, but due to this being an operational farm we request they be controlled.
We would like to get a general head count by May 1. Save the date.

Rick-

Thanks (again) for hosting this!
We can sort out the specifics at Wintergreen but in terms of beer what say you, and others, to Fat Tire...b/c Guinness is just too much logistics!

Ty Ray. The charger is still MIA (enjoying its stay at Uwharrie no doubt), but the laptop has been resurected.
I would like to get a head count by May 1 if at all possible. I hope to have the outdoor kitchen moved to its permanat location, and the lower deck will be finished (nothing like a party to prod you to get crap done).
The fire pile is growing larger every day and the pool is scheduled to be opened on 4/21.
For those who stay over...we will serve gravy and biscuts (yes Ray...I will save some just for you) and coffee, using the generator signal method when ready.
If anyone requires electric hook up, please advise.

Maybe we could do a Shoe Creek trail ride if anyone's interested Sunday morning ? Shoe Creek while not Uwharrie difficult, winds along a mountain gorge with a trout stream through hemlock forests and is pretty incredible for natural scenery. Part of the trail is actually the Appalachian Trail. Its about 85 miles from Newmans so about an 1hr 45 mins away. Once @ the top you are next to Crabtree Falls, also pretty incredible. If there was sufficient interest we could run Big Levels too.
