Satelite Pictures

In my job I sometime have the opportunity to glimpse satelite photographs (be careful of what you do in the backyard). I once asked if it was possible to obtain copies of areas I would like to visit. The next I recieved a visit from a nice gentleman in dark glasses who ask me some questions while a bright light was shining in my face. I was just wondering if anyone used satelite pictures to check out an area? Anyone know where a person might obtain such pictures.

I use them for hunting all the time there are several different places to get these maps, the places listed above I've used, google earth is probably the easiest. There is a company called Mapping the Outdoors that I just got a map from and they were very helpful. They have color aerial photos for most of the US and most are within a year or two old, the one thing about their maps is they are sort of an aerial/topo which is helpful for hunting and would be pretty handy for offroading too. Hope this helps.
