ROVERSclub Fall Trials

Saturday and Sunday, October 20th and 21st, are the dates for the Fall Trials Competition, presented by the ROVERSclub and hosted by the Mcmullan family, in beautiful Robesonia, PA.
Here is a link for directions, rules and a waiver http://roversclub.org/html/events.html, but basically this is a Rover-only, family friendly off-road competition on a 27 acre plot of land typical to this part of PA: wooded, rocky, forest trails.
Yes, this is a competition with points scored and prizes given, but even more than that it's an opportunity to see all models of Land Rovers excersising their capabilities. We've had modern LR3's and Range Rovers, a 101FC GS, practically every model, and this year we'll see the return of Steve Hoare's Series 1 80" diesel!

Check out the link above for specifics and here's a link to a currrent discussion on the ROVERSclub.org forum: http://forum.roversclub.org/forum/sh...all-event-2012

Enter, compete, camp or just come up for a day and see what it's all about. Saturday is for stock vehicles and/or novice drivers and Sunday we'll run more aggressive courses. New to Rovers and not sure if this is for you? Come anyway and jump in with someone to ride the course, make new friends, just remember to wear sturdy shoes!

You'd have a lot of participants. How about some sort of biathalon? Like a trials course and shooting event combined? Crawl over some rocks, then roll out and take down a few targets.

usually it's two separate events the shooting happens after the trials event.

There is about 3/4 mile of a small body of water called Falling River that connects our farm and Cabells. We have about 5 acres of forest along the river that would be utilized as well as the river itself.

The weather forecast looks awesome, with sunshine, temps during the day getting into the 60's and into the 40's for the overnight. Sounds like good Trials/ camping weather. I'm just sayin'....
