Hello Trevor. If my wife doesn't plan our son's birthday on that weekend (his bday is Nov 8th) then I should be able to make it up there. I'll know more as the date gets closer. I'll do my best to railroad any talk of parties that weekend and we'll see what happens.

The campsite has nice amenities and is less than 5 miles from Rausch Creek. Rausch Creek has something for everyone, including a 101 area with wide trails and reasonable obstacles for stock vehicles. Bring a spouse or signifigant other and share the experience!

Okay, so here's the pussy question: Am I going to trash my rig if I wheel at RC? I still need to upgrade my shafts and flanges and my suspension still needs a little work, but that won't happen before RC.

There are plenty of easy trails at RC. I took my Series there and came back in one piece. Just stay away from Lake Christie. It is DEEP.

Yeah the place is big so you have plenty to do without causing any damage. Just stick with an appropriate group and avoid peer pressure :D

As far as shafts and flanges go, what is it you are expecting from them to prevent you trashing your truck? I run a 2" OME lift, stock shafts and flanges on 33" (ok more like 31.5" in reality) and wheel my rig places you wouldn't even consider doing.

Trash rig=broken shaft=stranded at RC. I'd at least like to carry spares as I have broken shafts before. Plus peer pressure will force me to take my D where I will thrash it. I love to wheel, but I don't want to trash a $30k truck (okay, with the recession, $20k). It seems like all I hear about RC is carnage! I know, I know, waaaaaahhhhh!

Jonathan,

There is plenty to do without trashing. I am not planning on trashing anything , so if you want we can wheel together. And for peer pressure ( unlike you ) I will not ask you every 2 minutes if you are going to get the 90 dirty *LMAO*

We'll have a good time. And if any crap happens , ROVERLAB is down the road
