Dan,

We divided the group into Built Trucks and Stock/Mild ( modified not looking for carnage ).

Dan, lead the group that did most of the Good Stuff ( on Friday - Saturday - and the last run Sunday Morning )

JohnK ( and I ) lead and spotted the Stock/Mild group on Saturday, and I shotgun with Randy on Sunday

As Horsey is opening his wallet to fix his truck right now he might wish he was unfamiliar too.

It wasn't anything he did to the truck. He was catious and easy on it. I watched him pick his way through basketball sized granite trying not to scar up his alloys. He winched out a disco but not himself, and gave me a tug when I lost rear wheel drive but he was no cowboy like many first timers.
Hopefully its something simple like a stuck relief valve.

What was the condition of the oil? When you go off road, you shake everything up, enough that if there was crap in the sump it could have gotten dislodged and blocked the pickup. Or the pickup worked it's way loose, etc. Hopefully something simple like that!

Not quite sure when it happened, but I was second in line behind Mr. Rao's truck and got out of my truck to see how Doug was doing and heard some ticking from the engine bay. Oil light was intermittent, and drove on it for another 30 minutes or so and got it to more level ground when we popped the hood and it was determined that it wasn't just low oil, but oil pressure.

Here are a few more pics from my phone.

It was dirty for sure. I wanted to change it before I left, but my schedule didn't allow it. Looking back I probably should have prioritized that a little more.

Barry it was his oil pump. Not wheeling related-wear related. He's lucky he was idling around in low range and not doing 70 down the interstate or as you californicators call it the "freeway". If his oil was really low he may have simply lost prime on the incline we were on. Those sensors that turn the warning light on are 7.5 psi which is scary low imo. While his girl friend appeared furious, I'm sure if this had happened somewhere in rural PA on the side of the road, without folks with trailers, loaner trucks, and know how to diagnose it she would have been far more unhappy.

I see you saw my summer house

So what's the plan? You guys taking a grand tour of lovely Elizabeth, PA (unless you blinked) and waiting to see what the condition is? Or have you gone home already?

Chuck, Dan, John, et al - I had a great time. Thanks for all of the hard work. I would have liked to have stayed through sunday and probably should have- hindsight is 20/20.

See you all on the trails in the spring-
